Yes absolutely. We do prenatal consults and patient transfer interviews.
Prenatal Interview:
We encourage all parents to interview potential physicians for their children and we hope you will choose to interview at IPM. We understand and appreciate that your child is the most important thing in the world to you and we believe that you should not take the important decision of who will be a part of your health team lightly. At IPM, we strive to be an extension of your family and work with you to optimize your child’s health. We offer a unique practice style that is individualized, holistic and combines conventional with integrative medicine. We encourage you to visit multiple pediatricians as we want you to make the best decision for your family. There are many great pediatricians in our community, each of which have different philosophies and office policies. We want you to choose the pediatrician and practice style that is right for you or your child.
This is often a comprehensive interview to meet your doctor, get a feel for the office in general, and discuss any questions you have. Most of the time parents want to hear our general philosophy and approach to medicine as well as our thoughts on care model, office policies, prenatal and postnatal plans, integrative health, etc. This is your time to ask whatever questions are important to you. We love lists of questions and are happy to answer any question you may have about our office and practice style.
First Time Consultation
If you have recently moved and are looking for a new doctor or if you are interested in changing pediatricians and would like to meet the doctor first, you may schedule a first-time interview with us to discuss office policies, integrative health, possible avenues for integrative care, etc. After this consultation, if you decide you would like to join our practice, we can help you request your child’s previous medical records and make it official!
If you are seeking a second opinion regarding your child’s medical care and would like to meet the doctor first, we would be happy to schedule an appointment to meet the physician and discuss office policies, integrative health, and possible avenues for integrative care. The visit will not include medical care, an exam or a medical opinion unless a regularly scheduled visit is requested.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
